About Us:
On January 31, 2004 a meeting was held at MSU's Horse Teaching and Research Center, to discuss a Futurity that is a combination of the three clubs, Arabian Horse Association of Michigan, West Michigan Arabian Horse Association and Half-Arabian Association of Michigan. The meeting was a huge success for each of the clubs and a bigger and better Futurity is on its way. We are referring to the Futurity as The Michigan Arabian & Half Arabian Breeders Futurity".
Mission Statement for the Michigan Arabian and
Half-Arabian Breeders Futurity
The Michigan Arabian Breeders Futurity was established to organize,
manage and promote an annual show wherein members of the three participating
associations, Arabian Horse Association of Michigan, West Michigan
Arabian Horse Association and Half-Arabian of Michigan may collectively
exhibit the young Arabian and Half-Arabian horses produced by their
individual breeding programs.
The annual show will provide halter and performance
classes for weanlings through four-years-old, fillies, colts and
geldings, competing for substantial prize money. The Futurity is
a "stand alone", unrated, non-profit, jackpot funded event. The
cost of the show and the class premium are borne by the participating
members in nomination fees, office expense, stall rentals and class
entry fees. Enriching funds will be obtained by sponsorship. Much
of the labor will be supplied by the volunteer members of the participating
associations.
The show will be an educational and enjoyable event
for breeders, owners, families and spectators and of special interest
to those who love the personality, intelligence, grace and beauty
of the Arabian and Half-Arabian horse.
